The variety and complexity of the SLF's remit requires a strongly interdisciplinary research approach. This is why we work closely with other research units of the WSL in Birmensdorf, Lausanne and Cadenazzo, as well as with other scientific institutions both nationally and internationally. We also communicate closely with practitioners in the field, authorities, users of our products, cooperation partners from industry and the public in order to ensure the quality of our research and products in the long term and to quickly identify the issues facing society.
